SOLUTION TO PUZZLE #3

Note: A move starts when a loco begins moving, with or without cars attached. The move ends when the loco stops.	Here is the position at the start. Green boxcar and pink-and-white reefer on two legs of the wye. The objective is to exchange their positions.	Remember: Upper left spur holds only one car, and loco won't fit; lower left spur holds two cars or loco and one car. Branch line enters from upper right.
Moves 1 and 2. Loco pulls forward into lower spur, then backs onto boxcar.	Move 3. Loco pulls boxcar forward into spur.	Move 4. Loco backs boxcar into upper spur.
Moves 5 and 6. Loco pulls forward to lower spur, then backs into wye leg.	Move 7. After clearing top switch, loco moves forward onto reefer.	Moves 8 and 9. Loco pushes reefer onto boxcar in spur, then backs to branch line.
Move 10. Loco pushes two cars down to lower spur.	Move 11. Dropping boxcar on spur, loco pulls reefer up to branch line.	Move 12. Loco pushes reefer to upper spur.
Move 13. Dropping reefer on spur, loco backs to branch line.	Move 14. Loco runs forward to lower spur onto boxcar.	Move 15. Loco pulls boxcar up to branch line.
Moves 16 and 17. Loco moves forward to drop box on wye leg, then reverses back to branch.	Move 18. Loco runs forward to lower spur.	Moves 19 and 20. Loco backs onto reefer, then pulls forward to lower spur.
Move 21. Loco backs onto wye leg and drops reefer.	Move 22. Loco pulls forward onto lower spur.	Move 23. Loco backs to original position. Problem solved!
