Bart Bakker Photo   It all started with a very small layout idea -- Carl's Imports. It's a micro layout designed to fit in a shoebox. Using an intercontinental research project (above) the optimum sized shoebox (male variety) was determined to be 13x7x5 inches (33x18x12 cm). I designed Carl's Imports to fit such a box:
